Having a wonderful time at Hay Meadow Flowage is simple. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Christie Mountain; lakes are such serene sites, why not stop at Barr Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Near Hay Meadow Flowage you hit upon the Deer Fly Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and if you come at the right time of       year, Chippewa River offers some brilliant whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Rock Lake Resort and Campground is always a nice experience. Hay Meadow Flowage gets a normal amount of rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. Camping is available at Brunet Island State Park, and if you need a location to stay Americinn - Chippewa Falls, Wi is a good choice. During the summer highs                  here at Hay Meadow Flowage get into the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Hay Meadow Flowage. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Duncan Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Glen Loch Motel.
