A visit to Hay Lake is always a good idea. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Apple River; if you get bored of Hay Lake you could also pop by close by Andrus Lake. A delightful close by hotel is Luck Country Inn, and as expected Sucker Creek is a charming stream that is worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a glorious choice, and camping at Apple River
