Hay Lake is not the only place nearby, Tram Lake is a nearby lake, and a glorious place for whitewater paddling is Chippewa River. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Christie Mountain is in close proximity to Hay Lake. Summer at Hay Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer       night lows sink down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Hay Lake. And if that's not sufficient, there's a heap more to do in close proximity to Hay Lake. Going for a hike along the Deer Fly Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and Duncan Creek is a tremendous whitewater spot close by. The amount of precipitation that falls at Hay Lake is close to the national                  average; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Chippewa Falls, Wi, and camping is available at Rock Lake Resort and Campground. If you came for an overnight stay Brunet Island State Park is a great location to camp, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Hay Meadow Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
