This is a pleasant region for people who like lakes. Mud Flat Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and the Pigeon Lake Trail is a magnificent hiking trail close by. Hay Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting stuff       just keep reading. Perch Lake Campground is a nice campground nearby. It's a tremendous idea to visit East Fork White River, it's close to Hay Lake, and nearby you come across the Virgin Pine Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. Crosswoods is a great local campground, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Heart Lake. Summer at Hay Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down                  to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Hay Lake descend into the-10's.
