Soar down the rapids of Black River - East Fork in a kayak, and camping at Mc Mullen Park is always a brilliant experience. This lake is so wonderful. Microtel Inn & Suites Tomah is a fine place to get some rest, and do check out Potter Flowage 58, it's a lovely lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Black River. An average amount of rainfall       falls at Hawkins Lake; July is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Throughout the warmest time of the year here at Hawkins Lake, high temperatures usually get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's while Hawkins Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Hawkins                  Lake. If you need a place to stay Three Bears Lodge and Villas is a glorious choice, and swamps like Dresher Marsh are fun to stop by.
