If you get bored of Hatchet Lake, you could also stop at nearby Land Lake, and camping is available at Birchwood Beach Campgrounds. Very striking scenery and great skiing is what you get at Wild Mountain, and a round of golf at nearby Frederic Golf Course is a brilliant way       to kill some time. Hatchet Lake is right by the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Luck Country Inn is a pleasant location to get some rest, and Young Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. From a rain point of view Hatchet Lake is a quite normal site; June is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you                  don’t go skiing at Trollhaugen since you're here, and an exciting thing to check out right next door to Hatchet Lake is Bohn Dam. High temperatures at Hatchet Lake throughout the long summer days are in the 80's while night lows are regularly in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are typically in the 10's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Hatchet Lake. Visit South Branch Trade River if you're here at Hatchet Lake, and St. Croix River is a magnificent whitewater spot close by. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll love Hatchet Lake.
