Hatchet Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. At Bohn Dam in close proximity to Hatchet Lake there are some out of the ordinary things to see; a brilliant location for whitewater paddling is St. Croix River. The slopes of Wild Mountain are so inviting noone can resist, and why not take a little journey to South Branch Trade River since you're here. | | lows fall down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 10's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Hatchet Lake tend to be in the-10's.
St. Croix River is a great whitewater spot near Hatchet Lake. After a long day outdoors Luck Country Inn is a wonderful location to spend a night or two, and there are other sites here than Hatchet Lake, for example Young Lake. This lake is so wonderful. and for you golfers we recommend close by Frederic Golf Course.
Stay the night at Birchwood Beach Campgrounds; you can go for a hike on the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail. If you go for the outdoors, you'll like Hatchet
Lake. Lakes are such serene places, why not explore Fountain Lake close to Hatchet Lake, and if you have time, Saint Croix National Scenic River is a national park worth checking out. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Northwoods
Lodge. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Hatchet Lake has to offer, you can camp at Pine Grove Resort.
The annual rain here at Hatchet Lake is about average; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
