Get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of St. Croix River, and camping is available at Pine Grove Resort. At Bohn Dam in the neighborhood of Hatchet Lake there are some interesting things to see; if you need a location to stay Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a delightful choice. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Birchwood Beach Campgrounds is always a splendid experience; needless to say, all our national parks       are pleasant spots to stop by and Saint Croix National Scenic River is no exception. Go for a hike on the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail, and it's a perfect idea to go to South Branch Trade River. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Hatchet Lake. There are other sites here than Hatchet Lake, for example Fountain Lake, and everyone close by loves skiing at Trollhaugen. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Hatchet Lake with nighttime                  lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Hatchet Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Wild Mountain is a great local ski area; dry warm beds await you at Luck Country Inn. From a precipitation point of view Hatchet Lake is a reasonably typical location; the wettest month of the year is regularly June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February.
