It's always fun to stop by Hasmer Lake. The skiing at Little Switzerland is tremendous, and the wonderful people of Milwaukee-Waukesha-West Allis like to hang out close by. This lake is so wonderful. That right there is loads already, but it carries on; Hasmer Lake has it all. If you get bored of Hasmer Lake, you could also visit close by Tilly Lake, and Sunburst is a great local ski area.
Hasmer Lake is not the only site close by, Silver Lake is a close by

| | lake, and there's whitewater on Cedar Creek for all you thrill seekers. Country Inn And Suites By Carlson West Bend is a glorious place to get some rest; Hasmer Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Lenwood Beach and Campground is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous place to camp here at Hasmer Lake is Timber Trail Camp Ground; there are some good whitewater spots on Menomonee River. The yearly rainfall
here at Hasmer Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is September, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Kettle Hills Golf Course is a great golf course nearby, and if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a perfect choice.

My husband and I were out riding around and found what we thought was Hilly Haven. We turned off hwy 28 and ended up driving into a gated area. We didn't think it was open. We drove through an area that looked like a dump with metal and plastic barrels in a creek. There were abandonded vehicles all over the place. When we drove into the gated area, the buildings there almost looked abandonded as well. If this was Hilly Haven, the DNR should have a look at the area. We were depressed when we left.... |
