This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Christie Mountain is good; you can run the rapids of Duncan Creek. From a precipitation point of view Harwood Lakes is a quite normal place; the month with most of the rain is September, and the driest of the months is February. All through the summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Harwood       Lakes, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows at Harwood Lakes during the wintertime mostly dip into the-10's. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in close proximity to Harwood Lakes. Harwood Lakes is a great location to visit for more than one day, Northshore Bar and Campground is a great location to camp nearby, and close by you hit upon the Hickory Ridge Trail which                  is a great hiking trail. There's whitewater on Chippewa River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and there is a pleasant hiking trail close by called the Deer Fly Trail. This lake is so wonderful. During your trip to Harwood Lakes you'll meet some people from Eau Claire for sure, and a pleasant close by hotel is Glen Loch Motel. Looking for some flowing water? Try Foster Creek, and while you're here, you could also explore pretty Dog Island Lake.
