The annual rain here at Hanson Lake is about average; most of the rain falls through August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Throughout the summertime here at Hanson Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime       comes with highs in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Hanson Lake are in the-10's. Hanson Lake really is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. Bear Creek flows through this vicinity, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail. If you get bored of Hanson Lake, you could also take a look at nearby Mason Lake; why not camp at Soo Lake Resort while you're here at Hanson Lake. While you're here at                  Hanson Lake you can take a hike along the Black Lake Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Flambeau River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful.
