The beauty of Haneman Lake is reason enough to stop by. There are swamps here too; Cedarburg Bog is close at hand, and Fire Ridge Golf Club is a good golf course nearby. Haneman Lake is a good place of normal precipitation; the month with most of the rain is September, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Sunburst is a nice local ski area; in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling

| | on Milwaukee River. At Haneman Lake during the days of summer highs are in the 80's, and the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's, and nighttime lows throughout the wintertime for Haneman Lake tend to be in the 0's. choice. This lake is so wonderful. Do stop by 0.45 Reservoir next to Haneman Lake, it's a stunning lake, and a great site for whitewater paddling is Cedar Creek. Why not visit G E Harris G8925 Dam while you're here; you'll locate
a pretty lake called Drzewiceki Lake. Camping at Willow Mill Campsite is always a pleasant experience, and the slopes of Little Switzerland are so inviting noone can resist.

 | 14 miles away My husband and I were out riding around and found what we thought was Hilly Haven. We turned off hwy 28 and ended up driving into a gated area. We didn't think it was open. We drove through an area that looked like a dump with metal and plastic barrels in a creek. There were abandonded vehicles all over the place. When we drove into the gated area, the buildings there almost looked abandonded as well. If this was Hilly Haven, the DNR should have a look at the area. We were depressed when we left.... |
