Ski Brule is a great local ski area, and you can run the rapids of Pine River. Visit Halsey Lake Outlet since you're here at Halsey Lake; a wonderful spot to camp here at Halsey Lake is Florence County Park Campground. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Lauterman Trail; Popple River is a good whitewater spot nearby. Halsey Lake gets       a common amount of yearly rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Camping is available at Chipmunk Rapids Campground, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not explore Beaver Pond. At Halsey Lake during the days of summer highs are in the 70's while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's,                  and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Halsey Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Brule Mountain is fine, and after a long day outdoors Iron Inn Motel is a tremendous location to spend a night or two.
