Inn Eau Claire is a good place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Chippewa River, and a day at striking Half Moon Beach in the vicinity of Halfmoon
Lake is a splendid thing to do. High temperatures at Halfmoon Lake during the summer are in the 80's, and the night is a bit colder of course, mostly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and night lows
