Lot of shacks out there becouse the Eauplane is so low. A lot of good fisherman having a good time on the ice. Halfmoon bar has great food and drinks next to the landing so stop in and say hi. Very striking scenery and good skiing is what you get at Granite Peak, and camping is available at Lake Dubay Shores Campground. While you're here at Half Moon Lake you can play some golf at Indianhead Golf Course, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Mosinee Flowage. Why not camp at Rib Mountain State Park if you're here at Half Moon Lake, and       after a long day outdoors LODGE AT CEDAR CREEK is a delightful place to spend a night or two. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Mosinee/Wausau; there are plenty of people from Wausau here at Half Moon Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Just can't get enough of Half Moon Lake. In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wisconsin River. Lakes are magnificent; Mosinee Flowage 4126 is a lake that's near Half                  Moon Lake. The amount of precipitation that falls at Half Moon Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls through September; February is when it's the driest. Summer at Half Moon Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's.
