Lot of shacks out there becouse the Eauplane is so low. A lot of good fisherman having a good time on the ice. Halfmoon bar has great food and drinks next to the landing so stop in and say hi. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Mosinee/Wausau, and Bull Junior Creek is in the neighborhood of Half Moon Lake and is always a bliss to check out. Really glorious skiing awaits you at Granite Peak; do pop by Mosinee Flowage 4126, it's a stunning lake. LODGE AT CEDAR CREEK is a nice spot to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Half Moon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Rib       Mountain State Park is a glorious location for that. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Wisconsin River is so much fun, and while you're here you can play some golf at Indianhead Golf Course. From a precipitation point of view Half Moon Lake is a reasonably normal place; September is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime highs at Half Moon Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. Summer                  overnight lows drop down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's; night lows at Half Moon Lake all through the winter usually drop into the-10's. Any time is a glorious time at Half Moon Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. Get drenched paddling on Pine River; you'll most likely meet some people from Wausau here. This lake is so wonderful. Mosinee Flowage is a nearby lake that you could pop by.
