Dorothy Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out; Brule Mountain has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Lots of folks from Iron Mountain come to Haley Lake. Haley Lake gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. A great spot to camp here at Haley Lake is Lauterman Lake Walk-In Campground, and it's a great idea to stop by Haley Creek. So

Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Pine River, and camping at Perch Lake Campground is always a delightful experience. There's whitewater on Pine River for all you adrenaline junkies; nice skiing awaits you at Ski Brule. Have a great hiking adventure along the Lauterman Trail, and after a long day outdoors Americinn - Iron River, Mi is a fine place to spend | |

a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Haley Lake you can take a hike along the Dendro Eco Trail, and if you get bored of Haley Lake you could also go to nearby Mud Lake. For the period of the days of
summer highs here at Haley Lake get into the 70's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Haley Lake.

The highlight of Paint River Hills Campground is its hiking trail along the Paint River. The loop trail, about half-mile long, winds through and around the rock bluffs and hills that form the banks of the Paint River and for years has been the playground of local youngsters. The name “Paint River Hills” is the term used by locals to describe the location of the campground. Youngsters have named other areas such as Peeper Hollow, Big Rock Candy Mountain, White Pine Lookout, Fairy Tale Swamp, Rock Fort, Thistle Swamp and Camel Back Lookout.
As the trail leads you to several lookouts down the river identification signs greet you naming trees in native Ojibwa as well as Latin and English.
