If you need a location to stay Best Western Grand Seasons Hotel is a brilliant choice; Iola Pines Campground is a great campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Embarrass River - South Branch, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort       Suites Foxfire. Gurholt Lake is close to Scandinavia Dam which is a striking location unquestionably worth stopping at, and a round of golf at nearby Glacier Wood Golf Club of Iola is a splendid way to kill some time. Meed Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit. Gurholt Lake gets a typical amount of rain; the wettest month of the year is generally September, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. What a place this                  is for outdoors people. Don't forget to take a splendid little trip to Peterson Creek; there are some great whitewater spots on Little Wolf River. At Gurholt Lake during the summertime months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's.
