An average amount of rain falls at Grindstone Lake; the month with most of the rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend close by Hayward National Golf Club. It's always good to stop       at Grindstone Spring, and a good close by hotel is Comfort Suites Hayward. This lake is so wonderful. Grindstone Creek is a perfect local stream. There's so much to do here at Grindstone Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hayward Koa Kampground is a good location for that. Nearby lakes? Sure, Christner Lake is close to Grindstone Lake; after a long day outdoors Flat Creek Inn and Suites is a perfect place to spend a night or two. You'll need more than                  a day to look at everything Grindstone Lake has to offer, you can camp at Trail's End Resort; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Christie Mountain is quite near. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do in the neighborhood of Grindstone Lake. Don't leave Grindstone Lake without first going for a hike along the Serley Camp Trail; a wonderful place for whitewater paddling is Namekagon River. Throughout the summer highs here at Grindstone Lake reach the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
