For the period of the summertime highs here at Grandfather Lake get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and night lows in the-10's for Grandfather Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Grandfather Lake is a pleasant spot to camp, Burnt Bridge Campground is a pleasant spot, and whitewater paddling is nice on Peshtigo River. From a rain point       of view Grandfather Lake is a rather common place; during September this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Some of the water nearby flows, like Avery Creek; if you need a place to stay Best Western Lakewood Lodge is a good choice. Mountain Jeds Campgrounds is a great campground here; do explore Benson Lake, it's a lovely lake. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Grandfather Lake.
