A brilliant location for whitewater paddling close to Gospel Lake is Prairie River, and a day on the slopes of Granite Peak is just what you need. There's some flowing water nearby, Barnes Creek is a stream you can have a look at during your stay; Merrill Public Golf Club is a good golf course close by. Throughout the summer at Gospel Lake temperatures are typically in the 70's. Summer overnight       lows descend down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Gospel Lake. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Gospel Lake, too fine to be true. If you need a place to stay Pine Ridge Inn is a delightful choice, and a wonderful close by hotel is Americinn - Merrill, Wi. Camping is available at Birkensee Resort, and there are plenty of folks from Merrill here at Gospel Lake. A fine site to                  camp here at Gospel Lake is Council Grounds State Park, and get your pulse rate up on the delightful whitewater of Pine River.
