     Americinn - Plymouth, Wi is a pleasant location to get some rest, and there are plenty of people from Sheboygan here. Be careful coming to Gooseville Millpond 40, you might not ever want to go back home again. Really delightful skiing awaits you at Sunburst, and Gooseville Millpond 40 is a magnificent site to visit for more than one day, Hager's Hilly Haven Campground is a magnificent site to camp nearby. For the duration of the long summer days at Gooseville Millpond  
   40 highs are regularly in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Gooseville Millpond 40. Whitewater paddling is fine on Sauk Creek; if you need a place to stay Plymouth Inn is a wonderful choice.
Gooseville Millpond 40 gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with
 
               the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. You're in all probability interested in lakes, Lake Ellen is one of those nearby. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Gooseville Millpond 40 has to offer, you can camp at Willow Mill Campsite. Paddling on Cedar Creek is so much fun.

Hager's Hilly Haven Campground
My husband and I were out riding around and found what we thought was Hilly Haven.  We turned off hwy 28 and ended up driving into a gated area.  We didn't think it was open.  We drove through an area that looked like a dump with metal and plastic barrels in a creek.  There were abandonded vehicles all over the place.  When we drove into the gated area, the buildings there almost looked abandonded as well.  If this was Hilly Haven, the DNR should have a look at the area.  We were depressed when we left....

I am inquiring about Camp Anokijij.  My father was one of the founder's of this camp for the YMCA in Racine, Wisconsin.  He met my mother at this camp.  This would have been in 1927 when the camp was first being built.  I spent my summers as a young girl at Camp Anokijij - living in Squaw Village while my Dad, (Andy Andersen) was working at the camp.  My three older brothers all attended the camp during the summers.   I have many fond memories of this place.  I worked there in 1958 as a senior staff counselor.     I would be interested in visiting there for just a few hours during the week of June 16th - I am traveling in Wisconsin during that week.  I understand that it is no longer a YMCA camp.  I am curious as to who is now running Camp Anokijij.  Interesting that they kept the same name.  I still know the songs that we sang  with Camp Anokijij in it.   Sincerely,  Kirsten Arthur...
