Go to Goose Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. Flambeau River - South Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot close by; camping at Goose Lake is fine fun, Fishtrap Campground is a fine local campground. Americinn - Ironwood, Mi is a wonderful spot to get some rest. From a rain point of view Goose Lake is a quite normal spot; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.

| | Do explore Bearskull Lake in close proximity to Goose Lake, it's a wonderful lake; if you came for an overnight stay Emily Lake Campground is a good place to camp. Paddling on Turtle River is so much fun, and Goose Lake is right by the Newman Springs Ski Trail. At Goose Lake during the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's with temperatures at Goose Lake dipping down into the-10's through winter nights.
