Through the summertime at Goose Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Goose Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout       winter nights. This lake has it all. Why not camp at New Glarus Woods State Park since you're here at Goose Lake, and Goose Lake is not far at all from Madison. A perfect spot to camp here at Goose Lake is De Forest Koa Kampground; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel Madison/Verona S is a fine place to spend a night or two. Do pay a visit to Ice Age National Scenic Trail while you're here at Goose Lake; you can hit the slopes at Tyrol Basin in the vicinity.                  Goose Lake is a good place of common precipitation; most of the rain falls during August while January is generally the driest month. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Goose Lake.
