You'll find a beautiful lake called Big Island Lake near Gillett Lake, and Best Western Lakewood Lodge is a great site to get some rest. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do next to Gillett Lake. After a long day outdoors Willowbreeze Lakefront Cottage is a great place to spend a night or two. Gillett Lake is a good spot of common precipitation; the month with most of       the rain is September while February is usually the driest month. Get dripping wet paddling on Oconto River - North Branch, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Dendro Eco Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Gillett Lake has to offer, you can camp at Maple Heights Campground, and going for a hike along the Popple Ridge Snowmobile Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.                  Through the summertime at Gillett Lake highs are usually in the 70's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are usually in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Gillett Lake during the wintertime usually sink into the 0's.
