A short journey to Markgras Springs is always worthwhile, and there are other spots here than Gilkey Lake, for example High Lake. If only every spot had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great globe it would be. Camping at Gilkey Lake is great fun, Piney woods       Campgrounds is a great local campground. Throughout the warmest time of the year here at Gilkey Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Gilkey Lake.
