The beauty of Gilbert Lake attracts many people from all around. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Pewaukee River. For the period of the summertime highs here at Gilbert Lake get into the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Gilbert Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.

Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. If you come at the right time of year, Menomonee River offers some nice whitewater, and camping at Gilbert Lake is perfect fun, Lake Lenwood Beach and Campground is a perfect local campground.
