Lakes are delightful; Lake Three 1 is a lake that's close to Gilbert Lake, and going for a hike on the Black Lake Trail is always a delightful adventure. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Day Lake Campground is a great place to camp; you can go for a hike on the North Country Trail. All the outdoors amusing things in the Gogebic Range will keep you coming back repeatedly. Get wet paddling       on Brunsweiler River; Best Western Holiday House is a pleasant place to get some rest. Camping at Gilbert Lake is good fun, Chippewa River Campground is a good local campground; obviously Hell Hole Creek is a lovely stream that is worth taking a look at. The yearly rainfall here at Gilbert Lake is about average; August is when you get the most rain here while February is usually the driest month.
