The Gogebic Range scenery is always beautiful. There are other sites here than Gilbert Lake, for example Lake Three, and don't leave Gilbert Lake without first going for a hike along the North Country Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Chippewa River Campground if you're here at Gilbert Lake; there are good places to discover along the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail. These mountains rock, just       check out all the fun stuff to do in the Gogebic Range. If you need a place to stay Ashland Super 8 Motel is a tremendous choice; swing by Hell Hole Creek it's a great location to take a look at. Now, you may believe that's lots but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Gilbert Lake. Not far from Gilbert Lake, you'll discover Lake Three 1 which is a picturesque lake, and if you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater                  paddling on Brunsweiler River. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Apostle Islands National Lakeshore is recommended, and a wonderful spot to camp here at Gilbert Lake is Day Lake Campground. An average amount of rainfall falls at Gilbert Lake; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Gogebic Range. Best Western Holiday House is a perfect place to get some rest; you can go for a hike on the Black Lake Trail.
