Summertime highs at Ghost Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Ghost Lake. That right there is a load of cool things already but it goes on, the Gogebic Range has it all. In       case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Marengo River, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Black Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Ghost Lake is not the only place close by, Evelyn Lake is a close by lake, and Ghost Lake is a tremendous spot to visit for more than one day, Boulder Lodge Resort is a tremendous spot to camp nearby. If you need a place to stay Best Western Lake Superior Lodge is a splendid                  choice, and you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the North Country Trail. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Ghost Lake. Marengo River has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Chippewa River Campground is a glorious campground nearby. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Gogebic Range. Take some time to have a look at Chequamegon National Forest while you're here, and a good close by hotel is Super 8 Ashland. This lake is one of the great places here in the Gogebic Range. This lake is so wonderful.
