You can run the rapids of Planter Creek close to George Lake, and you'll come across a charming lake called Lake Adelade. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Indianhead Motel is a delightful choice, and if you came to camp Henry Lake Campground is a good site to do that. George Lake is located in the Gogebic

There's whitewater on Turtle River for all you adrenaline people, and why not head up to Indianhead and strap some skis to your feet. At McFadyen Dam near George Lake there are some out of the ordinary things to see, and the snow is tremendous at Big Powderhorn Mountain. The annual rain here at George Lake is about average; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while February is the month with
the least amount of precipitation. What a place this is for outdoors folks. A magnificent nearby hotel is Bluffs Inn, and camping at Presque Isle Campground is always a magnificent experience. Be careful coming to the Gogebic Range, you might not ever want to return home again.
