This is a popular site for folks from Racine. You'll need more than a day to look at everything George Lake has to offer, you can camp at Fox River Recreation. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at George Lake that you need to camp here for       a while, Happy Acres Kamp Ground is a delightful site for that; the Lake Defiance Nature Trail is a brilliant hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Pike River offers some brilliant whitewater; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Executive Inn. George Lake gets a typical amount of annual rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most while February is the                  month with the least amount of precipitation. Not far from George Lake, you'll locate Paasch Lake which is a gorgeous lake. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Wilmot mountain; on a nice day you can take a hike along the Volo Bog Interpretive Trail. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites Antioch is a good spot to spend a night or two, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Tamarack View Trail. All through the warm months at George Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 60's.
