During the summertime months at Gates Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Gates Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout       winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. A stunning lake like Muskellunge Lake right next door to Gates Lake is a tremendous place to check out, and a quick journey to Muskellunge Creek is without doubt a great idea. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Gates Lake; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is usually the driest month. That right there is a lot of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Gogebic Range has                  it all. The Gogebic Range scenery is always beautiful. Whitewater paddling is good on Chippewa River - East Fork, and you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail. And if you're still looking for more outdoors entertaining things just keep reading. You'll stumble on a beautiful lake called Pelican Lake near Gates Lake, and Americinn - Ashland, Wi is a great spot to get some rest. Be careful coming to the Gogebic Range, you might not ever wanna go home again.
