McGregor Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and there's nice hiking along the Pony Hollow Trail. High temperatures at Garnet Lake throughout the warm days of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are generally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Garnet Lake. If you came to camp Big       River Campground is a brilliant spot to do that, and great hiking is available along the Yellow River State Forest Trail. If you're here at Garnet Lake, checking out Point Ann is a must. There's so much to do here at Garnet Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Pikes Peak State Park is a brilliant place for that. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Garnet Lake. A visit to Effigy Mounds National Monument is worthwhile; if you need                  a place to stay Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Prairie Du Chien, Wi is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Sunfish Lake, and Prairie Du Chien Country Club is a golf course nearby. Best Western Bluffview Inn & Suites is a great place to get some rest, and don't forget to take a great little spree to Wisconsin River. Garnet Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and January on the other hand is the driest.
