This site is excellent, just check out all the entertaining things to do next to Garden Lake. A great close by hotel is Best Western Lake Superior Lodge; if you're here, do take a visit to Janes Bay. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Namakagon Campgrounds is a good local campground, and there's wonderful hiking along the North Country Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super       8 Ashland is a good spot to spend a night or two, and hey, Castle Creek is a great local stream. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Gogebic Range has to offer. Get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater of Marengo River; McCloud Lake is a nice lake close by. A brilliant place for whitewater paddling close to Garden Lake is Chippewa River - West Fork. Lakes? Sure, Little Bass Lake is in the neighborhood. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Garden Lake; Black Lake Trail is a great local trail; if you're here and you like golf, you can explore Lakewoods Resort & Golf Forest Ridges Golf Course. For the duration of the summertime months at Garden Lake highs are commonly in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 10's with temperatures at Garden Lake dipping down into the-10's all through winter nights.
