Not far from Gantenbein Lake you obtain some great water scenery at Lock And Dam Number Three, and after a long day outdoors Red Wing Super 8 Motel is a good place to spend a night or two. For the duration of the summertime months at Gantenbein Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's.
