So much amusing stuff to do here at Galky Lake, too great to be true. Galky Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Northshore Bar and Campground is a good local campground, and the Hickory Ridge Trail is a splendid hiking trail nearby. Lots of people from Eau Claire come to Galky Lake, and Potato Creek Flowage is a       great lake close by. For the duration of the months of summer highs here at Galky Lake get into the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Galky Lake. Why not go to Island Lake WP363 Dam while you're here, and a picturesque lake like Mathy Lake is a good spot to check out. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting covered                  with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Duncan Creek, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Chetek is a fine place to spend a night or two. Chippewa River is a great whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Galky Lake, and camping at Lured In Lodge & Campground is always a nice experience. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Glen Loch Motel is a fine choice, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail.
