Whitewater paddling is great on Root River, and if you came to camp Silver Lake Marina is a glorious spot to do that. Near Friendship Lake you locate the Tamarack View Trail which is a fine hiking trail; if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pike River. This lake is so wonderful. Friendship Lake gets a normal amount of precipitation; August is when       you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February. So many fun things to do at Friendship Lake, so little time. After a long day outdoors Country Inn And Suites By Carlson Kenosha is a nice site to spend a night or two, and a golf course nearby is Brighton Dale Golf Course. At Friendship Lake during the days of summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. Through the winter the highs are frequently in the                  20's, and nighttime lows at Friendship Lake through the wintertime frequently plunge into the 0's. There are delightful sites to discover along the Lake Defiance Nature Trail. There's so much to do here at Friendship Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Happy Acres Kamp Ground is a tremendous place for that. At Friendship Lake you always meet someone from Racine; hey, Gotta ski right? Wilmot mountain is a wonderful spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful.
