There's so much to do here at Frieda Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Kosir's Rapid Rafts is a nice place for that, and one of the governing characteristics of the surroundings of Frieda Lake is Thunder Mountain. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Peshtigo River; Mountain Lake is a tremendous lake close by. Summertime highs at Frieda Lake commonly tend to be in the 70's; the overnight is a little cooler of course, typically in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and night lows all through                  the winter for Frieda Lake tend to be in the 0's.
