French Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to       do here at French Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Fishtrap Campground is a perfect location for that; do stop at Norma Lake, it's a pretty lake. Good hiking is available along the Newman Springs Ski Trail, and whitewater paddling is great on Flambeau River - South Fork. During the months of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at French Lake. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. High temperatures through                  the wintertime are normally in the 10's while French Lake overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the-10's. Yeah, come here to French Lake for a magnificent time.
