Sure, Birch Lake is around here. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Marengo River in the neighborhood of Frels Lake; an afternoon playing golf at Lakewoods Resort & Golf Forest Ridges Golf Course is always a bliss. High temperatures at Frels Lake during the warm months are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The       cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 10's, and night lows in the-10's for Frels Lake. If you need a site to stay Comfort Suites Hayward is a fine choice. If you go for the outdoors, you'll like Frels Lake. There are other places here than Frels Lake, for example Hildebrand Lake; Boulder Lodge Resort is a glorious local campground. Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Chippewa River - West Fork, and close by you stumble on the                  Virgin Pine Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. If the weather is nice here at Frels Lake, you can go for a hike along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Lake Namakagon Campgrounds is a tremendous location to camp.
