After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites ST. CROIX VALLEY is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. Lakes are tremendous; Forsythe Lake is a lake that's near Freedom Lakes. Really good skiing awaits you at Trollhaugen, and there's whitewater on St. Croix River for all you adrenaline junkies. For       the duration of the summertime highs here at Freedom Lakes reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 10's; after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Freedom Lakes drop into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at James N Mcnally Campground, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Round Lake. A great nearby hotel                  is Luck Country Inn, and needless to say, all our national parks are delightful places to stop at and Saint Croix National Scenic River is no exception. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Wild Mountain, and golf can be played at Frederic Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
