This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Birkensee Resort; if you come at the right time of year, Pine River offers some wonderful whitewater. Glide down the rapids of Prairie River in a kayak. After a long day outdoors Americinn - Merrill, Wi is a perfect place to spend a night or two, and let's not forget Spring Creek which is a stream that you may encounter while you're       here. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great planet it would be. A lake close by is Nelson Lake, and if you're visiting from Merrill, you won't be the only one. Council Grounds State Park is a magnificent campground nearby, as expected you could also check out Oak Lake since you're here; it's not far at all.
