Do visit Second Black Lake in close proximity to Fox Lake, it's a pretty lake, and of course Drinkwine Creek flows through this region. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect nearby hotel is Days Inn Hurley, and a day on the slopes of Big Powderhorn Mountain is just what you need. After a long day outdoors Budget Host Cloverland Motel Ironwood is a good place to spend a night or two, and a wonderful location to camp here at Fox Lake is Double E Resort. This

A good place for whitewater paddling near Fox Lake is Flambeau River - North Fork, and a gorgeous lake like Altman Lake is a delightful site to check out. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. Swamps like Realty Lake near Fox Lake make for nice spots to stop by, and camping is available at Big 6 RV Resort and Campground. getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Turtle River, and why not head up to Whitecap Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Fox Lake, and through the night it cools down to
the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Fox Lake tend to be in the 0's. Fox Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month of the year is February.
