Lakes are magnificent; Fountain Lake is a lake that's close to Fountain Lake. Camping is available at Pine Grove Resort; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Coon Lake. Near Fountain Lake you find the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail which is a splendid hiking trail, and skiing at Wild Mountain is one of those things you just       must do. A common amount of rain falls here at Fountain Lake; June is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Markville Snowmobile Trail is always a good adventure, and a spree to Saint Croix National Scenic River is worthwhile. Really good skiing awaits you at Trollhaugen, and float down the rapids of St. Croix River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer                  then a great close by course is Frederic Golf Course, also Bohn Dam is worth visiting while you're here. So many cool things to do at Fountain Lake, so little time. After a long day outdoors Luck Country Inn is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two; a pleasant site to camp here at Fountain Lake is Birchwood Beach Campgrounds. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Northwoods Lodge. Summertime highs at Fountain Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's.
