Paddling on St. Croix River is so much fun, and Fountain Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Pine Grove Resort is a great local campground. For the       period of the warmest time of the year at Fountain Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's while night lows are typically in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are regularly in the 10's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Fountain Lake tend to be in the-10's. Just can't get enough of Fountain Lake. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Lower Tamarack River, and if you have the time, Saint Croix National Scenic River is a national park worth stopping                  at.
