High temperatures at Foss Lake through the long summer days are in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at       Foss Lake descend into the-10's. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Foss Lake; the month with most of the rain is August while February is usually the driest month. This is a magnificent region for folks who like lakes. Nancy Lake is a lake in close proximity; if you came to camp Chippewa Campground is a good site to do that. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Good hiking is available along the Ice Age Trail. A glorious                  nearby hotel is Americinn - Thorp, Wi; if you come at the right time of year, Yellow River offers some tremendous whitewater. This lake is so wonderful.
