The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Highlands of Olympia, and Pine woods Campground is a great campground nearby. Forest Lake gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; most of the rain falls all through September, and the driest month is February. The snow is great at Little Switzerland, and in the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pewaukee River.
