What a nice lake Forest Lake is. There are brilliant sites to discover along the Lauterman Trail; if you've had enough of Forest Lake, Hilbert Lake is close by. From a rain point of view Forest Lake is a reasonably typical place; the month with most of the rain is September, and February is the month with the least moisture. Just can't get enough of Forest Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Lakewood Lodge.

Throughout the winter the highs are typically in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Forest Lake temperatures descend to the-10's. If you come at the right time of year, Pine River offers some nice whitewater, and camping is available at Burnt Bridge Campground.
