The beauty of Footes Lake is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Apple River Campgrounds North; if you get bored of Footes Lake you could also take a look at nearby Andrus Lake. If you need a site to stay Lodge At Crooked Lake is a magnificent choice. Footes Lake is a good site to camp, Clam Falls Campground is a good site, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Northwoods Lodge is a nice place to spend a night or two.

| | For the duration of the summer at Footes Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Footes Lake. An average amount of rain falls at Footes Lake; all through August this area sees the most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. Sucker Creek is a nice local stream, and paddling on Apple River is so much fun.
