The Deer Fly Trail offers hiking at its best, and glide down the rapids of Chippewa River in a kayak. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great world it would be. Camping at Brunet Island State Park is always a pleasant experience, and you can hit the slopes at Christie Mountain in close proximity. A magnificent nearby hotel is Americinn Lodge Ladysmith, and camping       is available at Ward's Flambeau Resort. High temperatures at Firth Lake through the warm months are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Firth Lake are in the-10's. Good hiking is available along the Moonridge Trail; Horseshoe Flowage 0.75 is a nearby lake that you could go to. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of people from Eau Claire here at Firth Lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Duncan Creek.
