Do stop by Lake Du Bay near First Lake, it's a scenic lake, and in the vicinity of First Lake you locate a golf course called Wisconsin River Golf Club. The landing is very steep and hard to get back up in the winter but the fishing can be great if you find the right spot to fish. Lot of shacks out there becouse the Eauplane is so low. A lot of good fisherman having a good time on the ice. Halfmoon bar has great food and drinks next to the landing so stop in and say hi. This is a 4-5 hour drive from the n/w side of Chicago . . . and *definately* worth it. Some buddies and I go up for a few days every winter and I have to say, this is the best you're going to find without doubling your driving time or hopping on an airplane....
