     There's so much to do here at First Black Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Double E Resort is a glorious spot for that, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Third Black Lake. First Black Lake gets a typical amount of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. The warmest time of the year at First Black Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's.  
   Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at First Black Lake. Float down the rapids of Turtle River in a kayak, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Whitecap Mountain while you're here.
Days Inn Hurley is a delightful place to get some rest; as expected, this is a wonderful vicinity for people who like lakes, Second Black Lake
 
               is a lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can explore Lake of the Falls Dam, and skiing at Big Powderhorn Mountain is one of those things you just have to do. This lake is so wonderful. A quick journey to Drinkwine Creek in close proximity to First Black Lake is a great idea; there's fine hiking along the Newman Springs Ski Trail.
Yeah, come here to First Black Lake for a good time. Dry warm beds await you at Budget Host Cloverland Motel Ironwood; if you come at the right time of year, Flambeau River - North Fork offers some delightful whitewater. First Black Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Big 6 RV Resort and Campground is a magnificent local campground, and an afternoon playing golf at Tahoe Lynx Golf Course is always a delight.
