First Black Lake gets a typical amount of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. The warmest time of the year at First Black Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's.       Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. Highs through the winter are typically in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at First Black Lake. Float down the rapids of Turtle River in a kayak, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Whitecap Mountain while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. A quick journey to Drinkwine Creek in close proximity to First Black Lake is a great idea; there's fine hiking along the Newman Springs Ski Trail. Yeah, come here to First Black Lake for a good time.
