There are some great whitewater spots on Turtle River, and don't leave Ferry Lake without first going for a hike along the Newman Springs Ski Trail. Camping is available at Double E Resort, and if you come at the right time of year, Flambeau River - South Fork offers some good whitewater. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Ferry Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 10's, and
